VIZ-Steel announced 2017 social program results
In 2017, VIZ-Steel (subsidiary of NLMK Group) invested over 16.4 million rubles in social programs. The plant paid for healthcare to its employees and their children, recreational and sports events and made charity contributions to help orphans and plant retirees.
Spendings on preventive healthcare and welfare of employees amounted to 11.2 million rubles. 260 plant employees and retirees received medical services in Russian health centers and financial aid to procure expensive medicines and medical services, including dental prosthetics. 118 children of ViZ-Steel employees went to summer sports and health improvement camps, and enjoyed family time at health resorts under the "Mother and child" program. The company paid for the vaccination session for its employees.
ViZ-Steel donated almost 900 thousand rubles to the sponsored Yekaterinburg special-education orphanage No. 7. The money was spent for security services, furniture, white goods and sports equipment as well as for recreational and sports events.
Plant veterans also received assistance. The public "ViZ-Veteran" foundation received over 2.5 million rubles. The money was spent for financial aid to retirees, health resort treatment and healthcare services, entertainment events, etc.
ViZ-Steel makes a point of providing welfare support to its employees, veterans and the orphanage. Our priorities include high-quality medical services, preventive healthcare and charity. "In 2018, VIZ-Steel will spend over 18 million rubles in social expenditures", said Olga Scherbo, acting Head of HR.
