Production
The company has an incomplete metallurgical cycle including the production of cold rolled GOES with various types of electrical insulating coatings. The main supplier of raw materials (hot rolled steel coils) is the Novolipetsk Iron and Steel Works. The production of grain oriented electrical steel is one of the most complex, technology and science intensive types of steel making processes; it calls for a modern specialized production base and for a highly developed scientific and technical potential.
Production process
The production process of transformer steel is very complex and technology intensive. It includes several complex process phases such as two stages of cold rolling, heat treatment, application of special purpose coatings as well as cutting and packing. The GOES products are produced under rigidly controlled conditions in order to ensure the optimum magnetic parameters in the material rolling direction.
