Recycling and by-product production
For this strategy cycle the Company has set an environmental target to reduce the share of recycled waste to 92%*.
Starting from 2004, NLMK Lipetsk stopped accumulating waste and began systematic efforts to process it. In 2020 the plant fully processed a 25 hectare slag dump, where 5 million tonnes of secondary resources had amassed.

In order to attain its targets, the Company instituted a recycling programme with numerous projects. The recycling programme will boost waste recovery within production sites.
